President Donald Trump praised Apple a few days ago when he was delivering a speech in Pittsburgh. He thanked Apple and Tim Cook because of Apple’s $350B investment in the US Economy and called him a “great guy”.

Though, Trump was thankful of Apple’s investment, he admitted that he originally thought Cook meant million not billion. Trump added that he “Doesn’t imagine that there’s ever been an investment that big in the country by a company.”

The President reminded the audience that he previously said he wouldn’t consider his economic efforts to be a success unless Apple built plants in the United States. Apple’s investment comes from the company’s plan to build a second campus in the future with its specific location being announced later on this year. The new campus would house tech support staff throughout it.

The speech followed Trumps tweet on the 17th in which he wrote “I promised that my policies would allow companies like Apple to bring massive amounts of money back to the United States. Great to see Apple follow through as a result of TAX CUTS. Huge win for American workers and the USA!”
