With Apple’s event coming this fall, we are expecting to see several new devices including a bezeless iPhone 8 and other variant models of it and more. But what about the Apple Watch?

Bloomberg reports that Apple is planning to release an updated Apple Watch model by the end of this year with built-in cellular connectivity.

Bloomberg’s report states that Intel will supply the LTE modem that will be used in cellular versions of the Apple Watch.

Apple Inc. is planning to release a version of its smartwatch later this year that can connect directly to cellular networks, a move designed to reduce the device’s reliance on the iPhone, people familiar with the matter said.

If this is true, being able to have access to everything on your watch without your iPhone nearby or a wifi connection will be truly amazing while out for a morning jog, or a day of swimming. You’d still receive texts and phone calls if service was present. Are you excited to have this capability? Let us know by leaving a comment! Thanks for reading! Until next time, peace! ✌️
