First things first let me get this out of the way, this router is kick ass. Its ultimate range of more than 150 feet without losing any signal strength and keeping a strong connectivity speed while using (Probably helps that this router has 8 adjustable antennas!). The 2.4GHz band alone can bring speeds up to 1000Mbps while the two 5GHz bands can host speeds up to 2166Mbps. The router also features MU-MIMO (Multi-User, Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output) technology which allows multiple users to stream, download, and play simultaneously at once acting like each user has a dedicated router of their own.Screen Shot 2017-06-27 at 4.58.20 PM

The EA9500 includes several Gigabit ports on the back of the unit, up to eight gigabit devices at one time. One USB 3.0 port and one USB 2.0 port, the power adaptor, internet port from your modem, and the power on/off switch. Me personally I have yet to use all eight of the gigabit ports at one time but it comes in handy when you’re looking to get the full power of your internet access. I’ve had zero dropouts since the purchase of the router about a month or so ago. I’ve been able to use my wifi network with full signal strength and almost the full speed of what I’m paying for on my front lawn about 140 feet away. Being able to roam my property without worrying about being disconnected from my network has been such a great feeling, I can stream at 4k without any visual latency over a hundred feet from my router.

The routers setup was flawless when first turned on, instructions were simple and straight forward. Power it on, connect to the Linksys Smart Wifi login, choose a password and done! You have full control of your router through Linksys Smart Wifi connect desktop website and mobile app. Restart the router from a tap of the button on your smart phone! How much more convenient can it get? Overall, this router may have a hefty price of $430 USD but if you’re looking for an overkill router for gaming and roaming among your property then this is definitely worth the investment! You can purchase the router here.

That’s all for now folks! I’ll be back this coming Thursday! Until then, peace! ✌️
