Today, Apple has unveiled the brand new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro. It is a completely new MacBook Pro and it very powerful. The new MacBook Pro comes in two colors – Silver and Space Gray.  The 15-inch MacBook Pro is 2.5mm thinner and has 20% less volume.

The new MacBook Pro has an OLED Touch Bar that is replacing the function keys. There is a Touch ID sensor built into the Touch Bar that is powered by a T1 chip. The trackpad is 2x larger than before and the keyboard is using the 2nd-gen butterfly mechanism.

The Touch Bar is really something cool. It has all our your normal function keys like brightness, volume, etc. When you are in an application, there is a whole new set of things on the Touch Bar. For example, if you are in Safari, there is shortcuts for new tab, favorites, and search (just for some examples). In Photos, you can swipe between your library of photos!

The new MacBook Pro’s Retina screen is 67% brighter and has 67% more contrast. Both of the new notebooks have four Thunderbolt 3 ports. The Thunderbolt 3 port is compatible is USB-C.  Any of the four Thunderbolt 3 ports can be used to charge the MacBook.

Both new MacBook Pro’s are significantly faster in the gaming, editing, and 3D graphics departments. The speakers on these have an all new design with twice the dynamic range.

Apple also introduced a different 13-inch MacBook Pro with the traditional keyboard and only two Thunderbolt 3 ports as an option for fans of the MacBook Air.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro with the Touch Bar starts at $1,799.00 and goes up to $1,999.00. The 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar starts at $2,399.00 and goes to $2,7999.00. Orders begin today and they will start shipping in 2-3 weeks.
